Review of Citi Prestige Credit Card

What Makes It Special?

There is this initial resistance in signing up for this card as it comes with a heavy joining fee of Rs. 20,000. But it gives away points worth Rs. 10000 every year. This is one of the very few cards available in India that helps you upgrade your membership at Taj & Hilton hotels, British & Etihad airways and it also offers bonus points. So, it is a good card to spend on airfares & hotel bookings. You get 3x & 2x more points respectively. This card works like a charm internationally too and you get 2x points on entertainment purchases. I really enjoy the flexibility that it comes with of transferring your points to various partners. It is more beneficial than American Express credit card in this regards. Despite all these benefits, it has a lot to catch up on when it comes to Foreign markup fee & the rewards system. The foreign markup fee charged by Citi Prestige card is 3.5% the highest in this category of cards.
